Okay my horror freaks — if you’re heading to the theater this Friday, Bring Her Back is the one you’ll want on your radar. Directed by the Philippou brothers (also directed and wrote Talk to Me), this one’s a slow-burn nightmare that crawls under your skin and stays there.

We follow two step-siblings, Andy and Piper, who’ve just lost their dad (already tragic wah), and are sent to live in the middle of nowhere with a soft-spoken but very off foster mom named Laura (played by Sally Hawkins). Piper’s blind — and Laura’s own daughter, also blind, died years ago. Coincidence? You already know the answer is no.

🩸 Bring Her Back is rated R for graphic violence, nudity, and some twisted imagery — so don’t bring your mom unless she’s cool like that.
